FLOOR INSULATION
Floor insulation is applied in stables where underfloor heating is used. It is important in potato, vegetable and fruit storehouses.
The connection with the wall insulation needs to be carefully realised.
- Concrete covering layer
- Reinforcement
- P.E.-foil
- EUROTHANE
- Concrete Slab
IMPLEMENTATION
A P.E.-foil is applied on a stabilised underground/base or concrete floor. Attention should be paid to the fact that this foil needs to overlap the P.E.-foil of the wall. This overlap and others should always measure 20 cm at least.
On this the EUROTHANE boards are dryly installed. The wall insulation needs to link up with the floor insulation. A P.E.-foil is rolled onto the floor insulation in order to avoid water penetration between the insulation boards. A concrete covering layer is poured after the application of a metal reinforcement.
