New product launch - Eurosarking SL Warm Pitched Roof Insulation System

Recticel has launched two new products under the Eurosarking SL (Single Layer) name.

The new Eurosarking SL boards are available in the following formats

• 120mm Eurosarking SL600 is rebated along the long edge to allow 50mm of the board to sit above the rafter.
• 120mm Eurosarking SL1200 sits entirely above the rafters and can be supplied complete with special screw fixings and fixing jig.

The benefits of the Eurosarking SL warm pitched roof insulation systems may be summarised as follows:

• Ozone friendly - zero ozone depletion potential.
• Low thermal conductivity- the declared thermal conductivity value of 0.023 W/mK is some 30% more efficient than most other insulation materials.
• Insulation savings - it is possible to meet the Building Regulation requirement with only 120mm Eurosarking SL.
• Improved air tightness - the profiled interlocking edges of Eurosarking SL give enhanced air tightness ensuring optimal thermal performance.
• Labour savings - single layer system, labour cost reduced compared to two layer systems.
• Simplified installation - the fixing jig supplied with Eurosarking SL1200 ensures the fixing is driven at the correct angle and centralises it over the counterbatten.
• Reduced waste - both of the Eurosarking SL systems avoid the need to slot additional boards between the rafters thus reducing waste on site.
• Reduced risk of condensation - condensation within the roof structure is avoided as the timbers are maintained at the same temperature as the inside of the building.
• Warm roof construction - no requirement for roof space ventilation and, in domestic type applications, there is no need for a vapour control layer.
• Increased usable space - the roof void becomes part of the habitable accommodation.
