Tapered Insulation solution for a new educational institution in Huddersfield for children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health challenges. The new development will establish additional special school placements for pupils aged 4-18 years within a high-quality facility, which is more suitable for its intended purpose and capable of supporting the diverse needs of pupils - along with introducing co-educational opportunities for a broader age range.

To support the construction of a reliable flat roofing solution for a new school development, while achieving a demanding thermal performance target of 0.11 W/m²K as part of the overall roof design.

Recticel solution

Powerdeck F PIR insulation panels were installed as part of a single‑layer tapered roofing scheme, designed and supplied in collaboration with Recticel’s tapered roofing specialists, Gradient UK. The solution provided the required thermal performance while supporting effective water drainage and a robust, long‑term flat roof build‑up.
