If diisocyanates are used in the workplace, the European Union has decided that employees who may or may come into contact with diisocyanates must follow specific training.
Mandatory EU training
Since 24 August 2023, the EU requires all professional and industrial users of diisocyanates (>0.1%) to complete specific safety training before handling these substances.
Employer responsibility
Employers must ensure employees receive the appropriate training, maintain training records, and renew certification at least every five years.
