It’s why, with each of our PIR insulation products, we work closely with industry bodies to secure the highest grade of third-party certification as a hallmark of their compliance. Achieving this involves a rigorous testing and review process. Each product is subject to multiple inspections, analyses and assessments to confirm its consistent performance.
Our internal quality team has the expertise to confirm the suitability of products based on regular testing and evaluation. However, enlisting the services of accredited external organisations whilst working alongside renowned certification bodies is the ultimate assurance of our insulation’s quality. It’s led to us establishing trusted and reliable insulation partnerships with the following organisations:
The British Board of Agrément
The British Board of Agrément (BBA) is a UKAS-accredited certification body. BBA certification is recognised throughout the construction industry as confirmation that a product is safe and fit-for-purpose. The value of BBA’s hallmark is reflected in the comprehensive assessments each product is subjected to. They include UKAS-accredited laboratory tests, on-site evaluations, quality management checks and product inspections as part of an expert-led assessment process. Recticel products that carry BBA certification include, but are not restricted to, Eurothane® Eurodeck, Eurothane® PL, Eurowall®+, Eurowall® Cavity, Powerdeck® F, Eurothane® GP, and Powerdeck® U.
PEFC
Three products from our PIR insulation range have been awarded the PEFC (the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) label. Based in Switzerland, PEFC is a leading alliance of national forest certification systems. The non-profit organisation is committed to promoting environmentally friendly forest management that is socially beneficial and economically viable through independent third-party certification. Its award of the PEFC label to the three Recticel products – Recticel Eurothane® GP, Eurothane® Eurodeck and Eurowall® Cavity – signifies that each product’s multilayer paper facings are made from wood fibres sourced from PEFC-certified and sustainably-managed forests. We were the first PIR manufacturer authorised to use this environmental label.
ISO certification
The International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) is an independent, international body that develops and publishes standards for a wide range of industries and sectors. For example, the ISO 9001 standard is the world’s most widely used international standard for quality management systems (QMS). Our production facilities are all ISO 9001 certified.
In addition, many of our production facilities have ISO 14001 certification, the globally recognised standard that confirms a company's commitment to a strong environmental management system (EMS). The ISO 14001 standard provides a structured framework to help businesses improve their environmental performance, reduce waste and manage environmental risks. Recticel’s environmental management system undergoes regular audits to revalidate ISO certificates.
